Acrylic stucco, also called synthetic stucco, is a modern finish system that bonds a flexible, polymer-based color coat over a reinforced base. Because the color runs through the material instead of sitting on top like paint, it resists fading, chalking, and hairline cracking far better than a painted traditional finish.
It is our go-to recommendation for Southern California exteriors that take real sun. The acrylic coat flexes with temperature swings instead of cracking, sheds water while staying breathable, and holds its color for years without repainting. It also opens up a much wider palette of colors and textures than cement finishes.
We install acrylic systems over new base coats and as re-coats over sound existing stucco, which is often the most cost-effective way to make a tired exterior look new. Every job gets full prep: crack repair, surface bonding, mesh where it is needed, and clean masking lines.

Inspect & prep
We check the existing surface for cracks, delamination, and moisture, then mask and protect everything the acrylic shouldn’t touch.
Base coat & mesh
A leveling base coat with embedded fiberglass mesh gives the acrylic a crack-resistant foundation.
Color-through finish
The acrylic finish coat is troweled on in your chosen color and texture. The color runs through the material, so it keeps its look for years.
Cure & walkthrough
We let it cure right, pull the masking, and walk the walls with you before we call it done.

Common questions
How long does acrylic stucco last?
Properly installed acrylic finishes routinely last 25 to 30 years without repainting. Because the color is integral to the coat, minor wear does not show the way it does on painted surfaces.
Can you apply acrylic over my existing stucco?
Usually yes. If the existing base is sound, we repair cracks, apply a bonding primer, and re-coat directly over it. If the base is failing we will tell you honestly and price the right fix.
What colors and textures are available?
Almost anything. Acrylic finishes come in hundreds of factory colors and can be troweled in fine, medium, or coarse textures. We bring physical samples so you approve the exact look before we start.
